Adapted Recreational Programs for differently abled adults and teens

Our Mission

Established since 2011, Prisms Options' mission is to create social and recreational activities where caregivers (parents and/or other family members) together with their different abled adults or teens can connect and experience life enhancing opportunities.

Our Vision

Prisms Options envisions a world in which families with their neurodivergent individuals participate in socially accepted bonding activities purposely eliminating social isolation.

Our son has been attending Move to the Beat for the past few years, as well as the newer Fitness Circuit program. He really enjoys keeping active, and as a parent it's nice to have a friendly, inclusive environment such as this where participants of all abilities can come to have fun and get fit.

Our son has been attending weekday afternoon classes, as well as weekend ones for several years. The creator, coordinator, and brains behind Prisms Options Programs puts her heart and soul into all these programs. She ensures that the programs are updated on a very regular basis including choreography, music, and various exercises. Language arts are included in some of the weekday programs, with music and exercise incorporated into the programs. She ensures that she notices participants' favourite songs and does her best to include these into the programs. Our son enjoys yoga done to music in a calm and relaxing environment with a qualified yoga instructor. After yoga our son comes home calm, relaxed, and sleeps very sound on those nights. Mrs. Illouze, the coordinator, and instructor for some of the classes communicates effectively to ensure inclusivety for the participants, she is very energetic, positive and welcoming. We highly recommend these programs. Try one!

My daughter has been attending Prism Options for several years now and thoroughly enjoys all of the activities organized. The Move to the Beat classes are her favourite because she has fun moving to the music. All the activities are a great opportunity for her to see friends on a regular basis as well as having something to look forward to and a place to go outside of the home. We have built a small community of parents that are able to support each other by sharing knowledge and experiences.

The caregiver inclusive activities at Prisms Options allow me to connect with other caregivers while enjoying the classes with my daughter.
